Yapahuwa -Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa
Visit the rock fortress of Sigiriya-a World Heritage site, Yapahuwa fortress, and the ancient capital of Polonnaruwa. Also take a nature walk in the countryside and visit a local village to learn about daily rural life

Kandy
This morning visit Dambulla cave complex - a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as the archaeological site of Nalanda Gedige. Also visit a batik factory and a herbal centre where students of Ayurveda learn the medicinal uses of various spices for massages
Day 08
Nuwara Eliya
Travel to Nuwara Eliya where we explore a traditional tea plantation in the central highlands and gain insight into the process of growing tea and its effect on the Ceylon region. Later step back in history and have High Tea at the Grand Hotel.
Day 09 | 10
Yala Region
Drive to Buduruwagala and visit this ancient Buddhist temple complex, before embarking on a safari in Yala National Park. Famed for it's elephants, we also search out monkeys, buffalo, leopard and wild boar.
Day 11 | 12
South Beaches/Bentota / Wadduwa area
Visit Weligama and learn about stilt fishing—a tradition founded and practiced in this area. Experience the cultural history of Sri Lanka's south coast at the colonial Dutch fort of Galle. Following the city tour, head to the beach hotel.

Colombo/Negombo
Enjoy the morning at leisure then travel to the capital, Colombo. Enjoy a city tour including the fort area
